Alongside Cameron Webster Architects, we designed and built this award winning holiday home from moodboard conception through to construction, and finalising every detail of the finishing touches.

The sculptural form of strong lines and geometric volumes is visually striking but equally at home in its landscape and surroundings. The house has been arranged in an upside-down way to enjoy and immerse in the panoramic views.

An open-plan luxury living, dining and kitchen area with a covered balcony and built-in window seat nook sit at the heart of this space. A warm yet dramatic, dark staircase leads down to the bedrooms, setting the mood for a cosier, more private atmosphere.

The interior decor mixes mid-century modern designs and utilitarian touches, such as industrial lighting with classic designs including Hans Wegner’s ‘Wishbone’ chairs, an Ercol dining table and Timorous Beasties and Harris Tweed fabrics. 

With air-source heat pump, a wood-fired hot tub, high-tech insulation, eco toiletries and a car charing point, this is a highly sustainable house. 

Named Coorie (meaning ‘nestle’), this holiday rental home successfully blends luxury, adventure and natural beauty.
