New Project Assistant wanted

Glasgow, part time, flexible hours. Salary negotiable.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to work in a vibrant, creative environment. The initial primary focus would be on supporting the lead project manager. Knowledge of the building industry is advantageous but not necessary. Excellent organisational and communication skills are a must.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Coordinate and communicate with sub-contractors, quantity surveyors, architects, engineers and suppliers
  • Source materials, get quotes, place orders and organise deliveries
  • Create and maintain building schedules and co-ordinate all involved reporting back to project manager
  • Collate information for proposals and tenders 
  • Act as a point of contact and assist with the smooth running of each project
  • Build a database of sub-contractors and suppliers and build relationships with them
  • Create weekly reports for clients and management
  • Carry out administrative duties
  • Update nest news, case studies, website and social media platforms

Essential skills

  • Experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines and managing a high workload with conflicting priorities 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using word processing programs and spreadsheets
  • Excellent time management skills 
  • Ability to present information concisely 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and manage a range of relationships
  • Ability to think proactively and prioritise workloads with minimum supervision

Preferred skills

  • Knowledge of project management software (training can be provided)
  • Knowledge of Apple based software and Apple computers (training can be provided)
  • Experience and understanding of social media communications
